Sometimes yes, and sometimes the knots have gone too far for a brush out. Mary will look at the coat and tell you honestly whether a de-mat or a lion clip is the kinder option.
It is a short clip that takes the coat right back, leaving the head, legs and tail longer. Owners tell us their cats are much more comfortable and cooler afterwards.
